Blogging Phenomenon

Communication has reached a whole new level; social enthusiasts can now communicate in the comfort of their own home. Blogging has made it possible for people to communicate within a closely linked community according to their social circle (Ryan 2008). Prior to that, anonymous participants are also able to communicate and view discussion through the blogs site linkage system.

Besides, blog site are now recognized as a social network among other bloggers around the world. It closely connects every blogger together by search engine features and alternative methods through multiple linkages from bloggers to bloggers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blogosphere 2008).

Looking backwards, the effectiveness of blogging is proven through history. It was commonly used during 1999 to spread propaganda and to increase war efforts. Back then it wasn’t really categorised in communication trends. Brad L. Graham (1999) took it as a joke due to the lack of technology advancement back then. But as time passes, it became an effective communication method for various aspects for both positive and negative activities (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blogosphere 2008).

According to (wired news 2002) on January 2002, there was estimated 41,000 registered bloggers on blogger.com. By now, it should have increased five times the designated amount. It only proves how easy socializing became as technology availability advance through time. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion through blogs, given the opportunity and space on the internet (Calson Analytics 2006).

Besides writing your own point of view, blogging is also beneficial to the business class, in terms of advertising, promotion and hard selling. For instance, http://www.fashionunder100.net, that webpage promotes cheap clothing lines that are commonly used by celebrities below hundred dollars; the author also linked the boutiques and brands of the clothing to their official sites.

Whether you like it or not, blogging is now the trend for almost everything we can imagine. It has become a culture and lifestyle that we can’t avoid. Communicating through blogs is essential when everyone is in different places at the same time.
